How long will it take?
Diagnostics has no specific time frame – this is due to the complex nature of computers. A seemingly simple problem can always turn into a lengthy diagnostic process, and vice versa. We try to carry out the diagnosis as quickly as possible, and we also try to do the job thoroughly and professionally to avoid missing anything.

How much does it cost?
Diagnostics are time consuming and complex in nature, so we set a minimum cost of £40.00, which covers some of the time our technicians spend inspecting your computer. In all but the most complex cases, if you choose to use our services and continue with the repair with us, we will waive the diagnostic fee. If you do not wish to continue with the repair with us, we will only ask you to pay the diagnostic fee, which must be paid in full before handing over the equipment.

An ethical approach
Suspect your equipment is too old for repair, the fault is too serious or the cost of repair may exceed the cost of replacing the machine? We take an ethical approach to fault diagnosis, including assessing the equipment before accepting it, and discussing the replacement of the computer if we think it would be more cost effective. Printers are a good example of this, where the cost of replacement is often less than the cost of repair. Similarly, if in the course of diagnosis we conclude that it is not cost-effective to repair the equipment, we will contact you and let you know so that you can make an informed decision.
